    MAN, I ALWAYS HAVE TROUBLE FINDING INFORMATION ABOUT PILOT’S HISTORY, PICTURES, ETC. I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND OUT THE HISTORY OF MY WIFE’S FATHER – MAX CECIL REID. I HAVE WORD OF MOUTH STORIES EG. FLEW BEAUFORT FIGHTER/BOMBERS DURING WWII. WAS SHOT DOWN TWICE, ONCE IN EGYPT (DESSERT) AND AGAIN IN RICE PATTIES OF BURMA. STAYED IN THE RCAF UNTIL LATE 50’S AND WAS RETIRED OUT FOR HEALTH REASONS. APPARENTLY WAS SNR. OFFICER IN A NUMBER OF CAN. BASES THERAFTER, INCLUDING VICTORIAVILLE, BAGOTVILLE, ETC. I HAVE A LONG PHOTO OF HE AND HIS GRADUATING CLASS – “COURSE 51 – NO. 3, ITS-RCAF, VICTORIAVILLE, QUE – MAY 1942,, BUT DO YOU THINK I CAN FIND ANYTHING ELSE???? NOT!!! CAN YOU HELP???

    Sorry, I have no info about the above. But do you have any records of any Aussies (RAAF) who did training in Canada with EATS? My Uncle, 414079 Harry Pordage, was at 1 GRS Summerside in Nov of 1942 doing bombing training as a Navigator. Also at No 32 OTU Pat Bay in early 1943. He embarked from No 1 Y Depot in Halifax on 18/04/1943. He served with Coastal Command until 18/11/1944 when, sadly, all lives were lost on a training flight in a B24 Liberator, off the coast of Scotland. It would be lovely to know more about the time he spent in Canada, as he was there for 7 mths in total.

    Do you have any information about course 56, in Carberry, Manitoba 1942

    I believe my father Ken Brown was a member of that course, in was in the RAF
