Hello there,
I am attempting to find details of my father’s RAF training in Winnipeg in the early 1940s under the Commonwealth Air Training Program during the Second World War. I understand that he received his observer ‘wings’ here at what is now Winnipeg International Airport. His name was Eric James Sales, born December 6, 1923, in Somerset, England, deceased August 1989, Winnipeg. Following training he crewed in Mosquito aircraft in the UK and Malta.
