Unit Duties / Information:
- The airfield at Valley River was constructed as an auxiliary landing and take-off strip for No. 10 SFTS at Dauphin which was opened March 5, 1941. The creation of this extra field decreased the amount of time spent at No. 10 by students. In this manner, they were prepared for operational training units and, consequently, for placement with overseas units.
