Relief Landing Field
Standoff

General Information

Base / Station: Standoff

Province: Alberta

Dates of Operation or Period of Information:

Location: The location indicated in the Google map below is the aproximate location of the former aerodrome.  This is to be confirmed as we currently have nothing other than the Manual of aerodrome and seaplane bases to determine the former aerodromes location. When looking at the satelite image there is a diagnal lign running accross the parcel of land that would appear to corespond with the runway angle from the RCAF Manual of Aerodromes and seaplane bases (posted below).

Unit Duties / Information:  This facility likely acted as the Secondary Relief Landing Field for No. 7 Service Flying Training School located at MacLeod, AB.  Though I have found no document to confirm this, so far.
