- 1st. Nov/44
- Information was received from No. 2.Training Command that a M.T. storage Unit was to be formed on this Station, delivery of vehicles to commence immediately.
- 1900 – The Small Bore Rifle Club met at the open air range.
- 1945 – The Music Club met in the Pupils Ante-Room and played a programme of recorded classical music.
- 2nd.Nov/44
- All U/t pilots on useful employment were posted for training to No. 4 SFTS. Saskatoon and # 18 SFTS. Gimli Man.
- The first heavy fall of snow of the winter occurred after three days of fog and mist. The snow is lying thick on the ground and appears to have come to stay.
- 1900 – The officers played the airmen at snooker in the Airmen’s Recreation Room.
- 2030 – A Mock Court Martial was held in the Officer’s Mess. All members of the mess attended and, apart from three hours of hilarious entertainment may have gleaned a little knowledge of court martial procedure as it should and should not be carried out.
F/O. J.E. Willett proved an able president and his spontaneous wit contributed largely to the success of the evening.

- The first consignment of M.T. vehicles (7 crash tenders) was received at this unit for storage purposes.
- 1500 – F/L. R.A. Durkin (C36746) Equipment reported on posting for duties as Equipment Officer at the holding unit to be formed at Carberry.
- 4th. Nov/44
- 2000 – A Lightning Snooker tournament was held in the Airmen’s Recreation Room.
- 5th.Nov/44
- Church Services were held during the day as usual.
- A thaw set in during the evening after three days of snow.
- 6th. Nov/44
- 1900 – A Recorded Session of Popular Jazz tunes was held in the Airmens’ Lounge.
- 1630 – W/C. E.S. Hogg (70312) Chief Instructor, departed on posting to No. 1 T.C. Headquarters, Toronto, Ont.
- 1630 – S/L. G. Howard A.F.C. (74736) G.D., O.C “A” Squadron departed on posting to No. 1 CFS. Trenton.
- A Board of Officers composed of the following members assembled at 1000 hrs. for the purpose of destruction of other than secret and confidential documents and of dealing with secret and confidential files on the disbandment of this unit. Board of Officers: Comprised as Follows:

- 2030 – Lieut. A.R. Quarrington, R.C.A.S.C. reported on posting from Camp Shilo to take over the duties of Supply Officer from Lieut. Aseltine.
- 8 Nov/44
- 15 x 800 gall. Refuelling Tenders and 10 Station Wagons were received into storage at this Unit.
- 1300 – Lieut. W.H. Aseltine R.C.A.S.C. departed on posting to No. 10 S.F.T.S. Dauphin, Man.
- 1945 – The Music Club held its final meeting in the Pupils’ Ante-Room, when a record programme of recorded classical music was played.
- 9 Nov/44
- 0900 – Capt. W.F. Dodds visited the unit on temporary duty from the District Medical Stores, Winnipeg, in connection with the disposal of medical supplies held at this Unit.
- 9 x 800 gallon Refuelling Tenders and 4 x 1300 gallon Refuelling Tenders were received for storage.
- 1145 – F/O. J. Alexandra (65618) GD. departed on posting to No. 15 SFTS. Claresholm, Alta.
- 1900 – A Snooker Match was held in the Airmen’s Recreation Room.
- 10 Nov/44
- 3 x 800 gallon refuelling tenders, 1 Panel Truck and 1 Station Wagon were received at the Unit for storage purposes.
- 0900 – F/L. H.M. Whimster (C5651) W. & B. visited the unit on temporary duty from No. 2 T.C. and returned at 1530 hours on completion of his inspection.
- The Ground Instructional School was completely closed down, all equipment and furniture having been returned to store.
- 11 Nov/44
- 2000 – A Lightning Snooker Tournament was held in the Airmens’ Recreation Room.
- 12 Nov/44
- 9 Ambulances were received into storage.
- The last Church Services on the Unit were conducted by S/L. Rev. D.A. Foster, the Station Chaplain.
- The Roll of Honour of No. 33 SFTS. was presented to and duly installed in the Anglican Church, Carberry.
- 13 Nov/44
- 1015 – F/O. Zaitlin (C.13880) (Admin) arrived from No. 12 SFTS. Brandon, Man. to act as the Defending Officer at a General Court Martial and to be held on this unit tomorrow.
- 14 Nov/44
- 1000 – A General Court Martial assembled in the Recreation Hall for the purpose of trying F/O. E.C. Cook (163890), G.D., Flying Instructor on a low flying offence. The President was G/C. W.F.C. Hobson from 3 B. & G.S. Macdonald.

- 1000 – A General Court Martial assembled in the Recreation Hall for the purpose of trying F/O. E.C. Cook (163890), G.D., Flying Instructor on a low flying offence. The President was G/C. W.F.C. Hobson from 3 B. & G.S. Macdonald.
- 15 Nov/44
- The Roll of Valour of No. 33 SFTS. was presented to the Mayor of the Town of Carberry and was duly installed in the Town Hall. The Mayor has promised to keep this Roll up to date with information which has been requested from No. 2 Training Command, Winnipeg, Man.

- No. 106 Course, which completed the Flying Training Syllabus on 29th. Oct. 44 and is the last course to pass through No. 33 SFTS. graduated today. A Wings Parade was held in the Recreation Hall at 1445 hrs., Out of a course intake of 66 pupils, 56 successfully graduated as pilots, (10 being appointed to commissioned rank) 4
transferred to another course and 18 ceased training. - 1150 – F/L. Downes (C6971) A.E. reported on temporary duty from No. 8 R.D. Winnipeg, Man., to take over as engineer Officer at the Holding Unit vice F/L. H.W. Salter.
- 1900 – A “Wings Dinner” was held in the Airmen’s Mess for the graduates of No. 106 Course. A consignment of 18 state trucks arrived on the unit for storage purposes.
- Arrangements were completed for No. 12 SFTS Brandon, Man., to use the airfield at Carberry as a relief landing ground to enable them to catch up on flying hours lost owing to unfavourable weather. All personnel are being supplied by No. 12 SFTS.
- No. 106 Course, which completed the Flying Training Syllabus on 29th. Oct. 44 and is the last course to pass through No. 33 SFTS. graduated today. - 364 – Airmen were struck of strength of this unit on posting to 31 P.D. Moncton for repatriation. 73 Were retained on temporary duty at this Unit for closing down purposes and the remainder were granted seven days special leave and instructed to report to 31 P.D. Moncton on 28th. Nov. / 44.
- The graduates of No. 106 Course departed from the unit, on posting as follows:- 6 to No.. 4 SFTS. Saskatoon ( on completion of 14 days special leave) for subsequent posting for OTU training. 15 to 16 SFTS, Haggersville (on completion of 14 days special leave) for subsequent posting for G.R. training: 27 to 31 P.D. Moncton (on expiration of 14 days special leave) for repatriation. Two RAAF graduates to No. 3 RD. Vancouver for repatriation. Six RCAF. graduates to be retained this unit pending transfer to the Reserve.
- The following officers left the unit on posting to No. 31 P.D. Moncton for repatriation.

- The officers Ante- Room and Quarters were transferred to the Station Hospital.
- 21st. Nov/44
- Sq/Off. E. Raynor (V30182) Equip. Messing visited the unit from 2 T.C to make arrangements regarding the communal messing and civilian catering and returned to 2 T.C by rail the same day.
- S/L. R. Cadham (C. 3950) Command Hygiene Officer arrived to carry out an inspection of the unit.
- The following flying instructors were posted to No. 1 G.R.S. Summerside for G.R. Course.

- Information was received from 2 T.C to the effect that No. 3 REMU. would be forming on this Station on the 2nd. Dec. ’44. No details were provided. All ranks commenced messing in the Airmen’s Mess, the officers and sergeants messes being closed. Information was received from No. 2 T.C that arrangements had been made with Dr. Waugh of Carberry to assume the duties of Station Medical Officer.
- 23rd. Nov/44
- A consignment of five Crawler Tractors was received at the unit for storage. W/C. W.M. Murray (C151) (Command Equipment Officer, and F/L. L.W. Moulden (C22179) 2 CUU. visited the unit on temporary duty together with Mr. Harvey Pearce from the War Assets Committee, W’Peg.

- The Station Headquarters Building was closed down, the Administrative and Accounts staff having moved to the old Hospital Building.
- 25 Nov/44
- F/O. G.H. Quick) (173845) G.D. and F/O. W.M. Clarke (153098) G.D. were posted to 31 P.D. Moncton for repatriation, on Medical Grounds.
- A draft of 72 airmen departed on posting to 31 P.D. Moncton, for repatriation. This leaves only the rear party on the unit.
- Three crawlers tractors were received for storage.
- 26 Nov/44
- The Airmen’s Mess was closed down and the messing arrangements taken over by civilian caterer, all ranks now feeding in the Old Officers Mess dining room.
- 27 Nov/44
- S/L R.L. Amor, AFC. (43615) was posted to 17 SFTS. Souris, Man.
- All N.C.O’s and airmen on the station moved their quarters to the rooms formerly known as the officers quarters. All other barrack accommodations are now closed down.

- A free YMCA. Film show was shown in the new Recreation Room at 2000 hours.
