- APPENDIX “S” TO DAILY DIARY FOR MONTH ENDING 29 FEBRUARY, 1944
- HEALTH:
- Small epidemic of mumps, two cases of chicken pox, otherwise the health on the Station has been quite good during the month of February.
- STATION ACTIVITIES & RECREATION:
- During this last month, sports enthusiasts have been active – hockey, badminton, bowling and curling being the outstanding sports indulged in. The inter-squadron Volleyball games were more popular this month as far as spectators were concerned.
- Our first station concert party composed of strictly station personnel
- went over in a big way, and at present the talented participants are busy organizing another concert party for the month of March. The typo of movie being shown recently is above average, and the sing songs, flashed on the screen, are becoming more popular with more and more members of the audience taking part.
- Dances for the airmen and airwomen up to rank of Corporal are still in full swing, one a week, and continue to be the high light of each week.
- DISCIPLINE:
- Discipline on Station very good, no A.W.L’s, two minor offence charges.
- MORALE:
- During the month of February the Morale on the Station was exceptionally good. Adequate social and recreational facilities, ideal weather, are factors responsible for this high standard.
- (E.C. Tennant) Group Captain,
