      • Course No. 21 commenced today with 45 pupils: 23 Officers and 22 N.C.O.s (19 RCAF, 12 RAF, 11 RAAF and 3 RNZAF). The opening lecture was given by the Commanding Officer at 1100 hours. (45)

      • Course No. 21 which commenced on November 22, 1943 with original intake of 51 pupils was completed to-day, 43 pupils graduating, of whom 21 officers and N.C.O.s were attached to Greenwood for advanced training and 22 officers and N.C.O.s were attached to Camp Borden for advanced training. Night flying hours are down due to unfavourable weather and high unserviceability. Aircraft were. completely grounded due to technical trouble for several days at one time. Night flying is. done in. the. senior phase and weather at nights has been consistently bad during the last four weeks. Lack of V.H.F. still handicaps training considerably.

      • Course No. 21 which commenced training at this Unit on November 22nd and subsequently attached to Camp Borden and Greenwood for advanced training was completed to-day. The 43 pupils who graduated were posted overseas (20 R.C.A.F. to No. 1 “Y” Depot, 11 RAF To No. 31 P.D., Moncton, N.B., 10 RAAF to No. 1 “Y” Depot and 2 R.N.Z.A.F. to No. 1 “Y” Depot).

      • Class 20B departed for various points on leave. All New Zealand and Australian personnel are to report to 1 “Y” Depot. The R.A.F. members of the class are to report to #.31. P.D. Moncton; while the R.C.A.F. members report to #.9. B & G Mont Joli. The new class 21A consisting of 21 personnel arrived by train at 1530 hours approximately. The officer Commanding of the Detachment F/L Jones DFC gave the newcomer’s general lecture on discipline, All aircraft were serviceable.
    • 25-Mar-1944 No. 36 O.T.U. Greenwood, N.S.
      • The course 21A consisting of 10 Officers and 11 NCOs departed at approximately 0800 hours for Camp Borden by Air Transport (A/C C 47) provided by 164 Squadron Moncton.
    • 5-Apr-1944 No. 36 O.T.U. Greenwood, N.S. (Course No. 21B)
      • F/O Maskell the Detachment’s Technical Officer visited the crash of Aircraft 5471 to determine the cause.
      • Posting notice for the Course 21B was received from Bagotville. The RCAF and RNZAF personnel are posted to No.1. Y Depot Lachine and the RAF members to 31. P.D. Moncton. Considerable flying was carried out to-day by the trainees. Two Squadron formation and rhubarb exercises were completed, and one Squadron formation and low-level navigation, F/L Robertson and P/O Murphy flew to Scoudouc and return. Two Aircraft are unserviceable because of minor inspections. Total flying time 51.05.
    • 7-Apr-1944 No. 36 O.T.U. Greenwood, N.S. (Course No. 21B)
      • Overcast high cloud becoming clear. Visibility unlimited except 8 miles in haze during morning. To-day being Good Friday all maintenance personnel were given the day-off but for a skeleton crew. The Trainees cleared the station. No flying was undertaken. Many maintenance personnel left for various points on a 72-hour pass.

Trainees departed on posting having been granted pre-embarkation leave as follows: 10 RCAF personnel to #1 “Y” Depot, Lachine, Quebec effective 22-April-44, reporting 23-April-44: 5 RAF personnel posted to #31 RAF P.D., Moncton, N.B. effective 18-April-44, reporting 19-April-44: 5 R.A.A.F. and 1 R.N.Z.A.F. personnel to #1 “Y” Depot, effective 18-April-44, reporting 19-April-44. This course was not scheduled to depart till 8-April-44 but due to the Easter holidays, the course was permitted to leave 1 day earlier. Discipline throughout the course was good. showed keen interest both at lectures and practical exercises.
      • All 43 pupils who graduated from Course No. 21 at No. 1 O.T.U. Bagotville, Que. were posted overseas.
