Hi Anders,
I am trying to create a timeline of my husband’s early days after he was accepted into the pilot program to fly fighter jets in 1961. (Barry Krall)
Of course, it was a long time ago. I may be wrong; however, I remember he was stationed at Penhold first for officer training, before being transferred to Moose Jaw to train on the Harvard and then the T-33. where he received his wings in 1966.
The information on the internet doesn’t provide any information on young pilots doing any ground work in Penhold before being sent to flight school. in Moose Jaw.
Am I right in remembering he was in Penhold? We were dating at the time, and he drove to Sparwood, BC, every other weekend to see me.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any paperwork or certificates to help me in my search.
I hope you can answer my question that he was in Penhold.
Were you in Penhold in the ’60s?
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my email.
I look forward to your reply.
Shirley Davey.
