I was fascinated to see this! My father, Cpl F.R.Smith, 1005161 edited several issues of this magazine (including this one) when stationed at RAF Weyburn, then aged 22. He wrote about it to his parents in Ealing, sometimes sending them copies, which don’t seem to have survived. I’m currently transcribing his letters into Google Docs for his family, since reading his handwriting is something of an art.
I believe publication of the “Gopher” ceased in 1943.
