    Hi Nathan,
Just wanted to drop you a line to say I’m collaborating with Joel From on an authentic, flyable simulation of Caron, late 1943.
My father, Thomas Henry Turner went on to become a Lancaster pilot with Pathfinder Force after learning at 33EFTS 1st Oct-12th Dec ’43 (possibly circa course 85).
I wanted to ‘fly’ from the fields he operated at, thus the project was born. If you have any information on this course I’d be very grateful. It seems one of the few that for some reason there was no group photo, nor records, which is puzzling.
I’ve been working hard since June last year and the model is starting to come together as an accurate picture. I created it based on images and plans from Joel, then once I’ve built a feature, he reviews it for accuracy. He has posted a few screenshots on his website. Our aim is once the simulation is complete, to make a short film.
The model will be available as a free issue download on the Xplane Forum/scenery page. It is intended as a memorial to dad and also to all those who served at Caron, and with BCATP.
    kindest regards
    Neil Turner
